VINEYARD: The Tomfoolery ‘Trouble & Strife’ Cabernet Franc Rose is sourced from a select premium vineyard on the boarders of the two villages of Bethany and Vine Vale in the Barossa Valley. Grown by 6th generational grape growers the Hage family the this flat site is varying depths of sand / sandy loams overlaying red clays and shale and situated at 316 Meters above sea level.

WINEMAKING: The Tomfoolery winemaking philosophy is simple small parcels of fruit hand crafted through a simple and relatively non-interventional approach with the aim to truly reflect the individual characteristics of the vineyard and variety. The fruit is handpicked at optimum ripeness and flavour profile ensuring overall balance before being gently destemmed to keep as many whole berries and then cold soaked on skins for 6hours, capturing the essence of the fruit but with fine tannins before being gently pressed and fermented.
